Welcome to Ovation Farm, the new home of Susan ("Susie") Wiedman and Encore Sporthorse.
The 50 acre farm is an easy drive from both the Triangle and Southern Pines. Our specialty is expert dressage training in a fun and positive environment. All levels of rider are welcome - from beginner to FEI.
Susie Wiedman and Encore Sporthorse have been providing quality dressage training for both the horse and rider for over fifteen years. In addition to being licensed as a USEF “r” judge, Susie is a USDF gold medalist with thirty years of equestrian experience in dressage and other equestrian disciplines.
Ovation Farm was designed for training and instruction. There are 42 large and airy stalls, a 150' x 290' fenced outdoor arena with lights, 75' x 200' covered arena, and 2 round pens. Horses enjoy ample individual or small group turnout as well as customized feeding plans.
Trainer and owner Susie Wiedman and the Ovation Farm barn managers reside on the property.

Join us for our spring schooling show series. Results are now posted for the 4.11 show.Series Show dates are 3/16, 4/11, 5/18. We will offer High Point JR, AA, Open and QH at each show as well as Series High Point in the same categories.

“Frankie” is a 2007, 17 hand, chestnut Hanoverian gelding with great bloodlines: Farewell III x Wolkenstein. This horse is a lovely mover with a great mind who loves to work. He has been gently started in dressage and is schooling Second Level. Frankie has been a perfect gentleman at local shows, others are often surprised at the combination of his age and good manners. He really has a “been there, done that” attitude. Frankie will make a wonderful partner for an adult amateur but is talented enough for a young rider or professional.
